Summit on Educators of Color Postponed
February 20, 2025
February 20, 2025
Your safety is our priority, and due to the severe weather affecting the Commonwealth of Virginia, we have postponed the 2025 VEA Summit on Educators of Color. For context, the Virginia High School League (VHSL) has also canceled the state championships this weekend due to the storm.
All registered participants will receive a full refund for your conference registration. Please allow at least a week for the registration fee refund to be processed. Also, guests who made a reservation under the VEA EOC Summit room block will be refunded, and you do not need to contact the hotel, as they will process the refund directly for your room reservation.
We understand this may be disappointing and are committed to rescheduling the event as soon as possible. You will be notified with further details, including the new date and time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Taisha Steele at tsteele@veanea.org or Chastity Howard at choward@veanea.org.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to the rescheduled event.
The average pay of Virginia public school teachers in 2023-24 was $65,830. That is $4,260 below the national average of $70,090.
