To help members prepare to effectively advocate for students and schools during the 2022 General Assembly, VEA Government Relations and Research is holding a series of pre-legislative workshops, some in-person around the state and two virtually. Each meeting will include a recap of this year’s elections, our Union’s Legislative Agenda for the new session, and helpful information on pressing issues, key legislators, lobbying tips, and more.
Each session will also feature an opportunity for members to weigh in on the VEA budget and our Union’s Resolutions, as well.
All attendees must provide proof of vaccination prior to the event or provide proof of vaccination at the event to attend the in-person workshops.
Budget Hearings for all workshops will begin at 5pm. PreLeg workshops immediately following at 5:30pm.
