We are looking for members to help us write content for our new learning management system. If you have a skill set that would translate well over to an independent learning course, we are looking for you. Our goal is to have content on our portal for every type of member.  Regardless of the role you play, (teacher, bus driver, administrator, library/media specialist, paraprofessional, retired, etc.) we are looking for you to help create quality learning courses for other members. Even if you have never developed content, we can work with you. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to Dr. Amber Brown, Teaching and Learning Specialist, at abrown@veanea.org.

VEA can bring this content to your school or division and offer it as a 3-hour or a 5-hour workshop. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of how trauma affects the brain of our students as well as learn a few tips on how to better support students in our care.  To request this workshop, click below to complete the workshop request form. Are you an NBCT whose certification expires in 2023 or 2024? Now is the time to keep current by completing the Maintenance of Certification process, and VEA Teaching & Learning offers a one-day MOC Jump Start workshop designed with you in mind. At this in-person event, candidates will review National Board fundamentals such as the Five Core Propositions, Architecture of Accomplished Teaching, and certificate standards. Trained NBCT facilitators will guide candidates through unpacking the requirements for the MOC process as they begin their work and develop strategies for successful completion of their components this year. MOC Jump Start is intended for NBCTs whose certificate will expire in 2023, 2024, or 2025. Join us October 29 at the Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Conference Center in Harrisonburg, VA near the campus of James Madison University. Registration starts at just $60 for VEA members!
